Can I get a run down on these 2 carbines.

Is one better than the other?

Both about the same?

Have a chance to buy both but can only aford one and having a hard time making up my mind.

Both are top quality, but get the Colt. The resale value is always there with the pony.

While there is nothing wrong with DPMS for a hobby gun, I would hardly call it top quality. I would choose the Colt.

I use a Colt 6530 as my personally owned duty rifle and paid $750 for it in 1994.  You did very well.
