I have a new upper from PSA on the way and I have the BCG from my DPMS sportical upper. Would it be worth it for me to buy a new BCG from Core15 or are they going to be essentially the same?
My DPMS BCG only has about 250 rounds through it or so. Any suggestions would be nice. I know a chrome lined or NiB would be best, but a little expensive as the holidays are coming around. Pretty sure this is the basic DPMS BCG that I have http://www.dpmsinc.com/Phosphated-AR15-Bolt-Carrier-Assembly-Assembled_p_2065.html vs Core15 http://www.dpmsinc.com/Phosphated-AR15-Bolt-Carrier-Assembly-Assembled_p_2065.html |

If so you could probably recoup the cost of a new BCG buy selling the old one with it. I just got a BCG from core15 and it is very nice but it looks just like any "generic" BCG of old for $99. It works just fine just no "fancy" markings on it though. |

Yeah, I've already sold the old upper. I think I'll just use this BCG. I may go with a Daniel Defense or a BCM eventually if I ever find one in stock With only 250 rounds through it I wouldn't worry, I'd use it. For extra insurance you could just get a new bolt and use the old carrier, keep the old bolt for a spare or offer it to whomever you sold the upper to. It is easier to find a bolt or carrier than a whole BCG now a days. |
