there customer service blows, they guy I spoke with sounded high and was sort of a dick.... You and I must have talked to the same customer service dickhead. He immediately put me on hold and then deliberately hung up on my call. Yes, he sounded high or was just a natural jerk. By the way, I have been waiting in excess of two months for a ZM-4 upper. If I don't get something by the end of February, I'll cancel the order and move on. I don't care how great their prices are. What good is that if you never get what you ordered? |
| I am going to hold off on DSArms maybe in the future they will have things together better. I am going with J&T, called and they have a CAR in stock. The price difference is only about $30, I can live with that! I will be placing my order in the morning. Also the customer service was great!!!!! No hold for 12 minutes!!!! Thank you all for your help! |
| I have spoken to Roger in sales at DSA 3 or 4 times in the last week setting up a purchase of a few blem lowers. I am building a couple of AR's specifically for the "Wounded Warrior" project at our club. Last summer we had a great bunch of Vets, over 50% in wheelchairs, for a day of shooting and a cookout, a whole day of fun for everyone, many of the Vets are stuck in the VA hospital and will be so for the rest of thier lives. I had a couple of A1 clones for the guys last year as well as a couple with RRA entry stocks, the short RRA entry stocks were so much easier for the wheelchair bound guys to shoot that I am building up a couple more just for them to use. That is what the blem lowers are for. Roger was knowledgable, polite, and friendly. I will buy from DSA again just because the service was so great. They are swamped with orders because of the $60 price per blem lower offered to members here, but Roger was great on the phone in spite of being busy and working on this holiday to try to catch up on orders. They also offer a 5% LEO discount if you ask and can verify LEO status. A faxed copy of current ID should suffice. They are great people and much better many than others I have dealt with....<><....:). |

They are a good cheap upper but you will have to get in line and wait. 3 or 4 weeks probably. If you want something sooner than that you will have to look elsewhere. BCM comes to mind. You will have it in about a week. 3-4 weeks is very generous.. i have been reading that it's taking 2 months or longer... some dude here has been waiting since Oct 09...... i've ordered several nitrided uppers and several blemished lowers.. .if they all don't ship within 4 weeks i'm cancelling the orders...... also note, there's talk here that their fixed front sight is not F-marked and not mil-spec.. people have been buying longer after market front sights to make up for it.. and there are reports that the longer front sight when dialed in appears to entend a bit above the left and right front sight ears.... DS Arms has responded to this oversight and noted that they did not have the technical specs to manufacture a mil-spec fixed front sight... They have said they hope to address this in the future.... |
| I ordered a zm4 about two weeks ago. My boss said the others he ordered took him about three weeks to get. From what I have read about two months for nitride and slighlty less for others. He said in terms of accuracy they shot as good or better than most of the bushmasters we use. Hopefully they get caught up on backorders. My spikes lower is on backorder so I'm not in a hughe hurry and I still have to order my LPK, bolt and other toys for the build. |
