Does this look like a real DD Omega rail to you? It does to me!!!
http://i11.ebayimg.com/01/i/001/0e/04/4758_1.JPG But guess what? ITS NOT. Looks like the chinese have yet again copied a great USA made product. They even have the same exact writing and logo on the rails as the real product!!! What a bunch of crap! http://cgi.ebay.com/BT-Daniel-Defense-Style-OMEGA-7-0-FF-Rail-Handguard_W0QQitemZ290282437056QQihZ019QQcategoryZ383QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting |

Quoted:
these have been around for months they do say "DD style rail" ![]() The side of the rail says Daniel Defense Inc. There are companies in the US that specialize in ripping off other companies, but at least they throw their own name on the things they make. The people that purchase these ebay items are getting ripped off. |

Its for Airsoft.
Daniel Defense sold the License to Madbull to produce its products for Airsoft use, so did Noveske. http://arniesairsoft.co.uk/news2/3689 http://www.madbullairsoft.com/English/ |

If it is true, I don't think it's a bad move on the "real" companies part.
There is a thread in Magpul's forum, stating they did the very same thing. It pretty much cuts counterfeiters out at the feet. Magpul has their Airsoft gear labeled differently, to prevent Airsoft gear ending up on real firearms. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=124&t=167574 |

Quoted:
From what I gather a lot of companies have sold out to the Airsoft crowd. Including Knights, Armalite and LMT. A manufacturer can either get a cut of the sales, or they can get nothing when its copied anyway. I don't look at it as selling out unless they start to ignore the firearm community for the airsoft crew. |
