What can you guys tell me about this AR? I saw one today and fell in love with it. I know where one is for around 1500.00 and I am really close to picking it up. It was sooo light.

A great company that now makes a great rifle. I'm not a fan of the rail system on their new rifle but it's purely for an aesthetic reason, not quality, as they make some of the best rails in the business.

If the look is something that you happen to like (everyone has different taste which makes the AR platform so appealing) then by all means buy it. Their quality is top notch.

Daniel Defense makes some of the highest quality items you can buy for an AR15. I too would have one of these rifles already but I don't care for the FSP rail system. My reason is also for aesthetics only. I was told that sometime in the forseeable future DD will be making their complete rifles available with different options so when that happens you will see me posting photos of my new DD rifle. I know I could buy one and remove the rail, install a DD low profile gas block and then install a DD Lite Rail and it would still be 100% Daniel Defense but I am not sure that would or would not void the warranty. Plus you really wouldn't have a factory built rifle anymore if that part is appealing to you. Either way if you like the rail system I am sure you will be very pleased with the new rifle from DD.

I like it, and with the Obamnites around the corner, I think I will jump on it. I have one AR15 right now, a Rock River. I want to give one of them to my son someday when he gets older, only five right now. I am afraid they will be gone by the time he comes around to age. I have done pretty good in 4 months time. I went from owning no AR15 type guns to soon to be two and i have accumulated 3000 rounds of ammo (most good quality) and 20 magazines which at least 7 are magpul. I feel like I am doing well on it. I promised my wife a storm cellar in two weeks though, and that takes some of my plans offline, but tornadoes are bad here. That damn thing was 2000.00 itself. I will keep you guys informed on the DD rifle. If it is still there on the 20th, it is mine. If not, I located a Colt AR15 locally I might buy.
