This rail appears to have a section of rail that extends back towards the receiver.  I'd like to use this rail, but I have an EOTech riding on a Larue Tactical QD mount, and I'm concerned that this extension of rail will interfere with Larue mount.  Does anyone know these two will get along?

As long as the top of the reeceiver and the railed forend align, it should act as if it were monolithic. I have the Mk18 RIS II and I have no difficulties in mounting any thhing accross the gap.

I'm not planning on mounting anything across the gap, though.  My Larue QD mount takes up the entire upper receiver rail.  I'm concerned about the Omega rail's extension interfering with my Larue QD mount.

You are latching it to the upper receiver and you want to move it forward a bit and that will push part of the LT mount over the gap an onto the rail? Just making sure I am answering the question you are asking.

If that is the case, you are gtg so long as you have the latches on the Upper receiver. LT does not recommend having a latch on the rail and one on the receiver if you have a two latch mount.

No, I'm latching the Larue mount to the upper receiver only.  I'm concerned that the handguard rail extension is going to be so long that it crowds into space above the upper receiver rail that is normally used by my Larue QD / EOTech sight.

The Omega rail only extends to the point of being flush with the receiver rail.  It does not extend above or beyond.  It will be as if you have one continous rail.

I don't know... I just tried it again and it works for me.  Maybe you have to be logged in??  Just go to the New AR Products forum and scroll until you see the DD Omega thread.  That's what the link is.
