Hey all,

I was installing an Ace Ultralite stock and I bent the hell out of the Rear Takedown Pin Spring.  This isn't the first time it has happened.  Every time I bend it, I cut off the part that is bent.

But now, the spring is too short, and the take down pin pops out pretty easily.

I would hate to order only the darn spring...

Anyone tried some modification to the rear takedown pin, so you don't need the spring??

Is is possible to pick up a "similar" spring at the hardware store??

Just curious.....

Head on over to www.georgiaprecision.com  The spring is very minimal money <.50 maybe?> select 'light orders' and the shipping is realistic, no minimum.
Oh... get a second spring if you're gonna keep playing with that stock... [;)]

In a pinch you could find something small enough to act as a spacer between the spring and the pin. When you get a chance order a replacement spring kit. This will have all those troublesome springs.[;)]
