Now, I got this fom Apex with my CH upper which kinda hints that it should be a C bell FSB but I don't see those markings... There is something that vaguely resembles a 'C' where it should be but absolutely no evidence of a Bell, is it possible that it just didn't get one?
The sight base has a forging flash and a rubber coated sling mount if that helps. Trying to post a pic but can't figure it out

When I get a chance, I will look as some of my barrels and try to find A fsb like that. How did I know I'd get a reply like that?  you guys are great.

That sounds about right, there is something where the C goes but it sure ain't a C, at least not anymore. But there isn't anything at all where the bell goes. Honestly that makes me happy, I'm going for a 1967 style build so by removing the flash that'll just make it look that much more the part.

On my builds there is an area I did not do, and now I am thinking about redoing it. The flash inside the sight, and the flash between the barrel and bayonet lug. I think the lug should be squared off. |
