I am building an rifle that will shoot 55gr steel cased ammo almost exclusively.  I have narrowed it down to a couple of uppers.

Price is similar without BCG/CH.  Main differences are the 1:9 nitride barrel for JSE and 1:7 chrome lined for the DSA.
Anyone have any experience with either?  Is it just a toss up with these?

I have a JSE upper for one of my AR's and its a tack driver, and nitride is seeming to be the way to go nowadays. I've heard good things about the quality of DSA uppers but do not personally own one. Be advised there are some long threads in the industry board about excessive wait times for an upper to be assembled by them. But maybe someone with more info on DSA may be able to clarify, as that might not be the case currently.

Thanks for the response.  I have read some threads about DSA that you mentioned.  They say in the EE that this specific upper is in stock and ready to ship, but I will still call and verify if I decided to go this route.
