It's about time to make up my mind. Who to buy a kit from, Model 1 sales or J&T? I would like to hear from some of you guys who have bought from them, especialy the ones who have bought from both and can give a comparrison. I am kinda leaning towards Model 1 just because they run about $50 cheaper than J&T. I just don't want to end up with a piece of shit, just to save a little cash. By the way, it will be a flat top carbine with picatinny rail gas block and possibly a free floated tube. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I originally had this posted on the AR discussion. Thought I would get a few more hits over here.

I ordered a 16" A2 from J&T. I was expecting a not so good kit but to my surprise it was a excelent kit, not a single flaw, fit and finish was a perfect matching with my RRA lower, fast shiping and friendly service, and a side by side comparison there was no difference between this FN kit and my factory RRA.
I am in the market for a M4gery and I will order from them. I recomend them. Have no experience with the other company.

Never dealt with Model 1 but have bought kits from J&T, which are excellent. You won't be disappointed. I'd buy another from J&T with no hesitation.

I just got a J@T kit. Only took 3 days to come really nice looing Have not mounted it on a lower yet.  Go with J@T, they do all they can to make sure you get a good product.  See my post a littel further down "I am happy with J@T"

I have always heard great things from J&T. I would just like to keep my options open. Has no one out there ever used a Model 1 kit? If so please let me know how it was. thanks

My J&T 20" kit is top notch, received it in 3 day's. From the feedback on all three on this board $50.00 might just be a good investment. J&T would be my first choice of the three.

I'll hop on the bandwagon as well. I ordered a 16" kit, and couldn't be more satisfied. Gooo JT.

What is the link to JT, so I can order my kit?

Thanks

I have both kits, JT and Model l.  JT has the better finish.  Hand guards and front sight post look better than Model 1.  I saved about $50.00 on the Model 1 over the JT brand.  Even though JT has the better finish Model 1 still makes a good looking kit and I am very satisfied with it.  As soon as this horrible weather clears Ill report back with a range report. This winter in Kentucky has really sucked, you can't get outside to do anything.  I ve stayed inside all winter and put four rifle kits together, two AR-15 kits and two FAL kits.  I am now broke and looking forward for spring.
