I am in the market to build an spr due with an 18 inch barrel and was needing input on what lower receiver to use for the build.

I think the issue ones use A1 lowers, so an older Colt or perhaps PWA would fit the bill. If you're not going for historical accuracy then any off the shelf lower would be good to go...
