I'm going to have ADCO cut down one of my uppers to 14.5 and perm attach a vortex flash hider.  I'm also going to have them contour my barrel under the handguards and put a DD 10" M4 rail on the upper.  My question is that this is going to be one of my main go to guns and I'm wondering if I should use my Colt 6920 or the Stag upper that I have.  The big reason I want to use the Colt is just because I like the 1/7 twist as well as all the parts like the bolt group and such on the 6920.  I do like the CMMG lower I'm using on my Stag but it isn't a Colt... On the other hand, it is a colt and I'm afraid of losing resale value, but I really don't plan on selling this gun.  What would you guys do?

Dont worry about resale value unless your a collector or dealer. Do what you want and what meets your needs / wants. Its you after all who get to live with it.

If it knocks a couple hundred bucks off the value consider it paying for what you want.

I never bought any of my snap on tools for an investment. I bought them because they worked the best for me.
