Your parts should be listed here somewhere www.ar15.com/content/guides/parts/ |
Use Imageshack. Imageshack Upload. When the various types of code are provided, select the last one, "Direct link to image" and copy. Then use the post pictures button to paste the code. You may get a prompt asking whether to temporarilly allow whatnot, click yes. |
wise ass guess retracted now that you have pics- The one is a mount for putting an IR designator on a rfle with standard handguards. |
I'm impressed! My first thoughts for a 1st post from a new member re: M16 parts was "this is going to be another troll asking about illegal full auto conversions." I bit my lip, tried to help out, but I'm constantly amazed by the wealth of information here! |
| Thanks for the comment, I knew this would be the place to find out what they are. I dont know if i would have ever found on my own the bracket assembly picture. Im still curious to see exactly how the other piece fits. My next gun is going to be an AR of some sort, Havnt decided on a brand yet, and all the accessories, I come here to see whats out there. If anyone can use these part and are interested in them, I would rather they go to someone would would use them. I found 2 30rd military colt mags with them too that im going to keep for the one i get. |

The other one that QUIB didn't get is an early mount for the AN/PAQ-4 IR laser. Unlike the AN/PEQ-2 it is just a laser and the PEQ-2 is a IR laser and a IR flashlight. But that long mount fits over the FSB and clamps on so the extended portion goes over the hand guard. If I find more I'll post it. Pat |
This site has a wealth of knowledge that is nearly transcendental. You could sell them on the Equipment Exchange to fund your AR. I have no idea what they are worth though. Interesting that they popped up at a Goodwill Store. |
| Yeah, Here we have a "AS-IS" Goodwill warehouse were there are bins that are just full of stuff that they either didnt sell at the stores or the have too many donation trucks so they bring it here and everything is sold by the pound. I go there to find gun parts and WWII field gear that i collect. You wouldnt believe the stuff i find. Im just waiting patiently for a AR Upper to come out in a bin, A lower would be a stretch, But an upper i could see. There have been a few handguns that have come out. I didnt get them though. They wont let you buy guns if they see them "obviously" and some items they price separately. I have found alot of WWII stuff though. Thanks for all you help. |

So i found this picture that shows the part now that i know what laser it goes with. Havnt seen it on a rifle yet. http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f265/A2vento88/ANPAQ-4IR.jpg |
