| I am buying a Delta Hbar next week, sight un-seen. It is new in the original box (aluminum?) What is the story with these...I have never seen one before but the price was was fair so I thought It would be a good shooter...thanks |

If it is a Real Delta HBAR, the Aluminum case will have the same serial number as the rifle. Also the the cheek piece will have the Colt Logo on it. The Scope Mount will be stamped Colt, I cant remember if it is a ARMS mount or a B-Square to be honest with you. It will also have a 1/7 CM P barrel. There are others on this site smarter than me about this rifle. They are excellent shooters. Good Luck and Post pics when you get it |
I just got one of these (R6600DH model, not the later R6601DH) on Monday and I'm extremely pleased with it. I'm sure you will be too. Make sure it has all of the following with it: Matching serial # aluminum case, Colt leather sling, Tasco 3x-9x rubber armored scope mounted on a Colt-stamped ARMS mount, and a Colt stamped cheekpiece. Mine's marked AR-15A2 HBAR Sporter on the lower, with C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 HBAR on the barrel. Yours should probably be the same. It may or may not have one of the little Colt red delta stickers on it; some do, others' have fallen off over the years or just weren't included. You could still order the stickers from Colt way back when if you felt the need to have them, but I don't know if that's still the case. |

Here's a green label Delta HBAR complete with all accessories that I sold last year: www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976663466.htm  The Delta HBAR has an ARMS M16A1A2 scope mount with a Colt logo. The R6700CH has a B-Square scope mount. I currently have a R6600DH with no Delta stickers. I don't know if they were removed, fell off, or never were on there in the first place. |
