| What's the difference between a delta ring and a flat delta ring? These are listed options for purchasing barrels at CMMG, don't know the difference. TIA. |

The flat 'slip ring' was used in the older rifles, prior to the introduction of the tapered 'delta ring'. If you're building a retro use the flat slip ring. If you're buiding something newer (M16A2 or newer) then use the delta ring. The delta ring is much easier to pull back on than the slip ring. |
