I have a barrel by an unknown manufacturer. It is marked "NB 5.56 XX 1/9 G". I purchased a FSB to go on there and the bores on the barrel don't match up with the pin holes in the FSB. The 9mm FSB has holes that match the pin bores. Are there 2 different types? How do I tell them apart?

Any help is appreciated.

FSB’s are match drilled to the barrel they are mounted on.

The odds of getting a FSB match drilled from one barrel, to align with another barrel drilled to match it’s FSB, is like winning the Power Ball.

My guess on the 9mm is that is it very close, but if you tried to install it (don't) it would not match. Quib is correct, they are not "pre" drilled, they are put on, and drilled together. If you tried 100, you may get one to work by running a drill through it and using a straight pin. Bottom line, pinned FSBs are NOT easily swapped from one barrel to another.
