My RRA Entry Tactical should be coming in this week and I'd like to buy a case for it before it arrives. The only problem is, since this will be my first AR 15, I don't know the length of the rifle. Can anybody help me out here?

With the stock collapsed it should be less then 36 inches.  Mine is about 33 inches collapsed, length wise, and about nine-ten inches tall (grip to top of EOtech, will be much shorter without EO).  Hope this helps.

I have an Uncle Mikes Case that I use for my RRA Entry Tactical w/ EoTech.  I love it!  A lot of people comment on it being nice as well.  Feels pretty heavy duty, and bought it off a buddy for $20, so I couldn't go wrong.  You would need the "Medium length tactical Rifle Case"   medium case is 33"x10"

My Entry Tactical rides in a 36" iSHOT S.E.R.T. System Tactical Carbine Case (TCC) and fits perfectly.  I highly recommend this case.  When I return to the states, every AR I own will get it's own iSHOT.

That's a kick ass case indeed... $136 worth kick ass.. not in my budget..  If I had money to piss away, then yeah.  Just needing something to get back and forth to the range, I don't see the purpose in such an expense..  It is nice though, and if it's within ones budget, more power to them!

If you just want something to go to and from the range check out cheaper than dirt.  There have been some decent reviews on the MOLLE Ultimate Rifle Case

ETA:  And it's only 43 bucks

They do but I think they're designed to only store the rifle with the upper detached.

That's true, the rifle must be broken down to use the RRA case.  It is worthless for anything more than shipping in my opinion

Thanks for all the info/suggestions, guys. I ultimately went with the MOLLE Ultimate Rifle Case from CTD and I have to say, for the money, its pretty kick-ass...
