Went to the range with my father today to try out our new weapons. My Dads M&P 15 had no issues. I on the other hand couldnt get my Bushmaster disapater to drop strike of impact
any lower than about 13 inches high from the bull. Started out at battle sight zero fired three rounds and wasnt on the paper, Dropped the front down 9 as I normally did for every m4 i had
in the service and nothing. Came up six past flush and nothing. Finally aimed at the bottom of target with the last adjustment and the rounds were hittingat the very top of the paper. These
ar DPMS NM sights. I switched out the rear sight with my LMT A2 and still hitting high. Its like the front sight post isnt high enough. I cant rais it anymore or it will come out of the front base.
Do they make a taller front sight post? Is there something special about the disapator sights? Any ideas would help if somebody has one.

Thanks

To lower the point of impact, you need to raise the front sight.

If you don't have an F-marked FSB, you might need Part No: 9349056-M from here.

The further you "drop" or lower the front sight the higher you will hit on the paper. Raise the front sight to lower bullet point of impact (POI)....<><....:)

I cant raise the front sight post anymore or it will unscrew out of the base. So do I need one of the extended front sight posts.

I think I figured it out. The rear sights were for an A2 upper. I put them into the DCH I had laying around since I paid almost 100 dollars for them and I just like messing with stuff, the actual sight base for the A2 is .040 taller than the one for the DCH. So a .040 taller front post would make sense. Now if I can find a NM front post that is .040 taller ill be set,

A local machinist can thin the tall front sight post to Match dimensions for you.
