Larue sells what you seek. Not sure about the dimensions.

Stanley Tool Box.  Holds the mags as well.

Update: Locks too.

Tac-Force has several to choose from, I had to add some velco strips to hold accessories but it works well.

My new bag my Dewalt 6 piece set came in is great. It holds my SP-1 or A2 Colt Carbines with the stocks retracted. I can even get the drill, light and numerous mags in together.

Its no tactical deal but it is as low profile as you will get. I have 2 of the bags. One i bought from a guy at work. He thinks I am just a dewalt nut. So far i have been able to stuff 2 rifles (read carbines) and more mags and ammo than you could need in a 72 hour time frame.

The Bulldog Ultra Compact Case
is perfect for what you want.   It was this or the Larue (I need more Dillo Dust) but for the price it was worth a shot.    The quality is quite good.   I can carry a 16" broken down carbine with mags, cleaning kit and bipod easily.

I hadn't seen that one before. Looks like a nice case for that price, especially if the quality is good.  What sort of strap system does it use?
