Will a steel melanite treated BCG and a stainless steel barrel cause a dissimilar metals issue over time? I can't find any discussions on this issue (if it is an issue?). Thanks for any help.

No, it will be fine. Generally AR parts are designed to work together. Melonite is extermely corrosion resistant

Here is the order, and you want to keep them as close together as possible. You can see why we don't use graphite on alum
