| Will the triangular handguards fit on a Bushy M4 dissipator barrel, or do I have to make some adjustments to the handguards. The barrel does have the triangular shaped endcap by the front sight. Thanks Dan |
I've heard you're gonna have to cut a hole in the heatshields where the gas block (in the middle of the barrel) is. |
You will have to trim some of the tin out of the hg for it to fit around the gas block. Here's one I did.   Note that the tins are trimmed towards the top. I used a dremel with a small cutting wheel. A small amount of the hg itself may need to be trimmed but you'll see how they fit when you try. If they rub , trim there. The handguards are sitting bottom to bottom in the pictures with them off. The toughest part was getting the handguards themselves to line up with eachother. They were new in package but from different GI contractors and there were slight differences. A little work here and there and they fit well now and line up nice. Any questions let me know. |
