OK, so really interesting in info on these stamps. If there is a sticky thread on it, let me know!
I have: 601 - No stamp? 604 - large stamp on R side of magwell? XM177E2 - small on front of magwell? 651 - small on front of magwell? Do some NOT have stamps? I am sure there is more to know here!
and sounds like I need the stamps. Do you just use like white testors paint? Thanks in advance for some advice! |

and sounds like I need the stamps. Do you just use like white testors paint? Thanks in advance for some advice! I think the 601 had a large stamp on the side of the magwell. And maybe the 602. But I believe the rest were all on the front of the magwell. But I could be wrong. I used testers paint, and thinned it with a little water . I stamped some cardboard until got it where I wanted it. The first time didnt look right so I went to wipe it off but it wouldn't. So I took a chance using lacquer thinner not knowing if it would damage the Finnish But it didn't |
| I have a GM chopped receiver made somewhere around 68 to 70 with DOD stamp. Its a large one on the right side of the well. About twice the size of these. I know of a US prop marked Colt from DOE that has a small stamp on the front of the mag well the same size as this one. Both are quit blurry no read distinct eagle and square border is not complete. None I have seen look like the ones pictured they are smudged. |

SO....where would one get a DoD stamp for the right side magwell? See hk45shooters reply way up near the top. The add was dated back to 2008....is it still current info? Hard telling, send a IM & e-Mail & find out. It doesn't cost anything. Kinda seems to be the only known option for the stamps. |
