Does anyone know of a manufacturer that sells to the public the following rifle? If so please provide a direct link to the product. Thanks.
Ar-15 piston system
Flat top
20 inch
Chrome lined barrel and chamber (or better material)

Seems simple enough...
BTW what’s up with all the 16 inch barrels? Is there only one company making barrels these days?
Also why is everyone in love with the 16 inch barrels, and the loss of 200 ft/sec?

Thanks for any help.
USMC 0311 VFW
P.S. Yes I looked at the dealer links sticky

Don't think so...

I'd think about putting one together with an AA unless you want the standard FSB.  Where are you stationed?

Let me know if you need any help.  I was a 2111 once upon a time.

Welcome.

As for your request, if it's out there i haven't seen it.

Virtually all the piston systems are coming in Tacticool packages (SR15 is a shining example), this is also the answer for your "why's everything in 16."  Alot of people dreaming of kicking down doors.

If you want a good selection of E.R. Shaw barrels all the way out to a 24" go check out Model 1 Sales, you can get them for a pretty good price.  Though depending on your location, it may be faster to have a Texas Team Member ship it to you from a gun show instead of ordering from them.

20inch with chrome'd chamber and bore

Probably be best off just buying one of the aftermarket piston systems for it.

IIRC Osprey makes one for a 20" barrel.

Thank you for your reply (all of them).
I'm out now. For the second time! I was involuntarily recalled after my four years was over.
I just put that in there to let people know I'm not clueless. Some times the web can be harsh.
Tacticool and dreams of kicking down doors got a good laugh out of me. Thanks
I'll check out those tips.
Thanks again.
