Having trouble installing the clip that retains the pin that hold the dust cover. Any suggestions on doing this. This bugger is sooo small and hard to install.

If you are putting the clip on early on in the assembly process, using a regular pair of pliers, start the clip with your fingers, then put the clip in the teeth of the pliers to push it down onto the rod. Or... If it is already on the weapon, using a small pair of needle nose pliers to hold the clip, slide the rod forward to give yourself some room, install the clip. Once you get the clip on the rod, make sure your port door spring is set properly, push the rod back into the rear hole. Hope this helps... Pat

+1. And I do it sitting in the middle of a bed w/a solid light color sheet. That way when it drops off the plier tip, I can find it.

In my experience it is MUCH easier to put the clip on the rod before installing the rod in the upper. Of course you have to put the port door/ install the rod before you install the Delta ring... BTW, you can buy extra clips, they are typically called "E" clips at an auto parts store. It is good to have extra
