Gents: Been following the forum for awhile...kind of settled on the EOTECH, but is the sight co-witnessed directly or offset...can it be set up either way?  I think I like the Wilson Combat BUIS, and would like them to be usable when EOTECH is "off"...does it work that way?  Lastly, would these sights work okay on a 7.62x39 upper?  Thanks...this AR stuff is addicting! v/r Walt K

directly mounted on a flattop upper the eotech will "absolute" cowitness with your iron sights (dot in center of reticle will be superimposed on tip of front sight).

A Yankee Hill and LaRue make excellent risers that place the iron sights in the lower 1/3 of the eotech's plane, if the irons distract you while using the eotech.

I personally like the "absolute" cowitness, as both my front and rear sights fold away.

Good luck in whichever you choose, the eotech is a great optic!

I like the "absolute" cowitness too and only my rear sight folds away.
