So I've had my sight for about a year and I bought it used for about 200 bucks and it was essentially new with no marks or blemishes in the original box and all the paperwork still. The thing works great however on the battery compartment(the plastic housing for the double A's that is held in place by the cam) one of the contact points, which has a large o-ring/washer at the base came detached from the base inside. Is there a recommended epoxy or method to put it back in?

Check out Kyle Defoor's fix for this issue.  It's about 2/3 of the way down of the linked page below.

I would call or e-mail L3 Communications.  They most likely will repair your 512 for little or no cost.
