Received my EOTech 552 from Bushmaster today (paid a wee bit more, but they seem to be the only people that actually have them in stock) and all I can say is WOW DUDE! What I would have given to have one of these in the sandbox back in '91, but I digress. So its off to the gun show tomorrow to spend more cash on an ARMS 40 or something similar to stick up there behind it on my M-4gery's picatinny. My wife's gonna kill me!!!!!!!!I'm hoping to get to the range in the next few days, so I'll update. Later guys.

if you have a carry handle the arms mount sits the eotech to high to use iron sights. I am looking for a different mount now.

Eotech makes there own mount. Also foun a few others. I have a thread running on this now. Just do a search for holosight

It's sitting on a flat-top receiver - it ought to work out well with the ARMS 40, no???

It would be perfect. I use the same set up, but I have a 551.  With 552, you just have to mount the optic as far forward as possible on the flat top to give enough room for the ARMS#40.  Great set up you got, good luck and have fun at the range.

What's the difference b/w the 550, 551 and 552?

Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but I think "550" is the series, referring to the 551 AND 552. The 551 is night vision capable and uses "N" batteries, and the 552 is also night vision capable, but uses more common "AA" batteries. Hope that helps.

And the 550 uses "N" size batteries, but isn't Night Vision compatable.

Anyway, if any guys relatively new to the site (like myself) are paying attention to this thread, here's my follow up - brought my M-4gery to Calverton on L.I. yesterday to test out the EOTech. I was hitting compound bucket lids at 100 meters offhand round after round with no problem - totally psyched. The whole package with the ARMS 40 behind it looks friggin' awesome. I guess it's so big a difference for me 'cause I pretty much went from a lifetime of iron sights to what I'm using now. I wish I knew how to post pictures so I could post a pic of my M-4gery on that other thread that's out there. Later guys.
