So Im really looking at one of the EOTechs with the 1MOA center dot...

How well does it show up on a bright day? My rifles see action hitting small targets often, and a 1MOA dot would be nice for those shots... especcially on a coyote.

The EOTech is VERY bright in full sun. I would however recommend getting the standard or 2D reticle as the 65MOA outer circle comes in handy for snap shooting and you still have the 1MOA inner dot...

Just get the 512.It has the hood and takes AA batteries.It has the standard reticle.Trust me,the 1 MOA alone is too small.

I think the 1 MOA dot is kind of pointless if you can get the same dot inside the 65 MOA ring yself. That ring is amazing for acquiring the dot under stressful situations.

okay, my mistake, I thought the standard was the 65 ring and like a 4MOA center dot

And the 1moa dot still had the 65 ring around it....

Okay whats teh cheapest EOTech that runs off of AA batts I can snag? And where can I snag one?

GET THE 512!Its waterproof and has the protective cage.But it and be happy.
