But thanks for your input Posted today or not, there are MANY threads about this already that are MANY pages long. Again, this is a new article dated today from the Washington Post. "MANY threads" or not, I am posting the article for those who are keeping up with the latest news about the situation. If it doesn't interest you, fine - move on to another topic that does interest you. Thanks for your input as well

Thanks Levade, I just ran across the same article and was about to post the link. I think it was informative that this news has hit the national publications. I agree... For news to hit trade sites such as ar15.com is one thing.... But to hit national media? It tells me EOTech's future might be in more serious trouble - especially if this turns into a full blown congressional investigation. Honestly I am always amazed but the negative people that are so quick to chime in with their "we talked about this" or "use your search button". Most likely neither of the two read the article before posting their comments. I guess some just want to try to drag others down to their negative level. |

That was an informative article without having to read the 100+ page drama thread and adolescent fan boys rants. You did good. |

I don't have a problem with that issue. I do hate the way a couple of mine will burn batteries. Have to pull the batteries for storage. yeah my first experience with an eotech is that it would kill batteries just sitting there in room temperature. i think i had the "N" battery version. |

Another good reason is that you collected my Eotech refund for a new Aimpoint.

I didn't post the article after Mrs. L sent it to me yesterday as I didn't want to get yelled at. ![]() Another good reason is that you collected my Eotech refund for a new Aimpoint.
And mine for an MRO. |

wow that sucks.... does any of the Aimpoints have the thermal drift issue? The Trijicon MRO does admitted by their own CS. It's extreme temp on either end but admitted. The thread I read had the Aimpoint rep stating no thermal drift, but I highly doubt there is no point where the AP has some drift. |

I had one that ran on N batteries and couldn't keep live batteries in it. I got to where I'd remove the batteries after a range session which to me is a big no go so I sold it not long after that. 50,000 battery life lightweight red dots of the win. EOTECH's parent company (L3 COMM) has plenty of .gov contracts to soak up this failure. I'm sure a few people are getting fired for it but I don't see the EOTECH brand going anywhere. |

It is annoying to grab a rifle out of the safe and find it with dead batteries. I kept the one I have on my crossbow, but it was new last year, so I don't know if it has the same problems. |

Eotech is still the best optic out there and miles ahead of the competition and they're not going anywhere Just curious, but by what measure? That's a bold statement without some justification, given Eotech's admitted shortcomings and the ruggedness of Aimpoints. |

They are the only ones who use this technology and have this crisp of a sight picture. Even aimpoints are not as fast or clear |
