I am looking at purchasing an EOTech for my AR, but I wanted to use it on my Saiga-12  too.  Are they durable enough for 12 gauge slug recoil?  Is there a certain model to get or will a 512 do the trick?

Thanks,

Don

Hmmm, I've seen 3 die on 5.56 rifles.

Try it and report back with what happens.

For the Saiga I'd suggest the new Eotech XPS. It mounts its CR123 battery crosswise so heavy recoil won't batter the battery contact springs until they start losing contact while firing.

thanks, I'll take a look at the XPS.  I like iron sights for a shotgun, but I thought it might be kind of fun to try. I used an Eotech on a buddies AR and I was impressed.

the xps was made for the 870 so it should be g2g.  i really like reddots on shotguns(used a cheap one until it broke).  even for skeet and such they work great.
