"F" revision incorporated the raised tactile feel controls and allowed for longer battery life in the electronics.

so all the new ones are "F" models?

Those were seen in the 'E' models (and I'm thinking the 52x series D models IIRC).

and allowed for longer battery life in the electronics.

That and improved durability are what the F model brings you.
