I know the EOTech's and Aimpoints are built for combat use so they can take a lot of abuse. I have an EOTech mounted on my M&P 15T, I am wondering how well it will hold it's sighting. For example, a lot of rifle scopes are finicky about being bumped out of sight and must be resighted,. How well will the picatinny mounted EOTech hold its sighting when exposed to being bumped a little? I don't mean being thrown against concrete or anything like that, just being bumped while getting in and out of a case or riding around in a vehicle while hunting.

I recently ran a pair of 512's through a 2-day carbine class where they got their share of drops, drags, bumps and dumps along the way. Still holding zero.

The 512's immediately after the class:

No issues - they hold fine.

As long as you keep it tight you will need to beat the crap out of your rifle to make one loose zero.  They will fail for battery loss before that happens.

used mine through two deployments to Iraq... pleanty of "battle scars" on it from riding in humvees and 7 tons...

they'll hold zero just fine :)
