| With all the different makes and models that EOtech makes, I have no idea what I'm looking for anymore. Would they all be able to interface with my fixed A2 front post? Can they all accept magnification if necessary? |

Can they all accept magnification if necessary? They do have a lot of models but if you look closely half of them are exactly the same except for the NV feature. Then there are the ones with buttons on the side vs. the back and different batteries. Then you have the different reticles but everything else is the same and finally the compact models. Your A2 front sight will be just fine. It will either be an absolute cowitness where the dot sits on top of the post or a lower 1/3 with the post in the bottom portion of the window. Which of these it is depend on whether you mount the Eotech on a riser or not. I like mine sitting right on the receiver. If you have room for the magnifier, they will all work with one. |

it's an Eotech G23,. 3.25X mag w/a flip to side QD mount..Eye relief is excelent at around 1- 3 inches with a 6 degree FOV but the whole reticle can still be viewed through the tube at 8" back. It doesnt have paralax issues like a long scope, no real blackout spots.
It's a bit pricy and the whole setup with the Eotech adds about 1.5 lbs, but it doesnt bother me at all. |

You should check out the latest and greatest EOTech, the XPS 2-0. I've had one on my Patrol Rifle for over a year and love it.
It has the standard EOTech reticle (65 moa circle and a 1 moa dot inside) and uses the CR123 lithium batteries. Now I only have to carry one type of battery for my handheld light, weapon lights (pistol, rifle and shotgun) in my go-bag and the battery is mounted sideways instead of inline like the AA powered EOTechs. The XPS are also the most compact EOTechs. XPS 2-0 |
