My understanding is exo coating is similar to the Nickel Boron coating available through FailZero.  I could understand the benefit on a BCG, but what about a .22LR barrel?  Brownells carries this barrel that intrigues me

I believe FailZero is the provider of the EXO coating. Would make it easier to clean. Could possibly give you a small FPS increase, but I'm stretching for that one.

Ok thanks.  That's what I thought, ease of cleaning.  Wasn't sure if there was any other add'l  benefit to justify the cost.
