View Quote That's also why there's also two different M16/M4 slings. M16 is designed for parade carry ie over shoulder and M4 longer sling for cross the body. Hence side sling swivel and attachment of sling to side of rear stock. Toe of waffle stock is too long in my opinion. Hence my preference to the N1 stock. Toe and sling swivel do snag on items. CD |

I notice some photos show the service person using only the top slot on the N1 stock to attach the sling. Those of you who served with a rifle equipped with the N1 stock: In your experience was that top slot sturdy enough and durable enough to last or did use and abuse eventually break that sling loop?

Answer to question above.
I looped the sling around the stock so that the loop was just holding the sling at the end of the stock. I wouldn't trust that piece to hold during hard use. My issued M4 |
