I’m not sure where else to ask this but does anyone recall what the forge codes would be on m4 uppers from the mid 90’s. And also what kind of uppers came on the first m4 carbines. A2 style or flattop?

W000487 got rebuilt prior to 2018 to M4A1 status with flat top/black finish. Lower still had the faint Colt grey and a soapbar A2 pistol grip. Course receiver restamped M4A1 and AUTO. Thats the only under 1000 range I've come across. Those are some of the finer details that I fail to remember about my March 95' issued M4A1 |

It’s in Ukraine with a hole in it now. Was in an M4A1 configuration rebuilt by Anniston in 2018.

Still curious to see it even with the extra hole

Thank you for your service #399 hopefully you had the chance to bring some commies with you.
Let me know if it’s going to be cut in half I’d pay the shipping for the pieces as it would make a great conversation piece |

It saved a guy in a firefight where they did take some commies with them. So it was definitely adjacent.

Well, it is hard to see it like that. But I am hoping it gave 'em hell.
I was really happy to see the "COLT'S MFG. CO. INC." and the parts of the original gray finish. Thank you for sharing. |
