Looks good Trimdad. What's that one down twenty-seven to go?? ^^^^^^^^^ This! ![]() ![]()
Really nice though! I am within a week or two of finishing a couple of builds. I need to man up and distress the lower to match my upper! I take courage from your fine work! Can't wait for the next installment of "Trimdad's Retro AR Journey - AKA, My Wallet is empty"

Thanks everybody I appreciate it.
Funny thing is I kinda screwed up, when I sent the lower parts to Mr Thomas I meant to ask him to dimple the parts..... But I forgot. So at some point I'll swap them out with sonething down the road. And I used a rock river carrier instead of a real transitional one. I still haven't made up my mind if I want to spend the money On one. I know it may not be exact ,,,, decisions ,,,, decisions |

A couple of questions:
#1: In the close up pic, left side, lower, it appears the "T" and possibly "'s" is missing "Col(T's). Is it missing or just the pic, and if so, is it to avoid copyright infringement? #2: What scope is on the other rifle pictured? And- beautiful work. |

Braceman usually doesn't miss anything. Now if I had been the one doing the engraving,,,, It would all be spelled wrong ! The A1 has a colt scope on it. I beleive it's a 4th generation , so it should be correct for a a1 rifle. ( if I'm wrong somebody correct me ) |

That lower is excellent! I am also digging the transitional bolt catch. How much did that run you? Thanks! Well I probably shouldn't throw john Thomas's prices out there. But I will say it's very affordable compared to the cost of a real one. Send John a e mail, I think he still has a few left |

The T and s are there in COLT's, it's actually pretty easy to see. ETA: Nice build, I really want one of those bolt catches.....kinda badly

Does he STAMP the lettering? Outstanding. I too like the bolt catch. Took me several years to find a real one. I guess they are not easy to make, from what Heatnbeat has said previously.John has sold out of the repop transitional bolt catches, I asked last night. |

I'll bet he does another run. If not ask braceman , I talked to him about making some a while back |
