Any help would be much appreciated!! These are more than just spacers. This is a spring ring stack. They have a certain spring and recoil force (the best I could determine, I think the maximum compression is 1750 lbs, and the recoil force is 1300 lbs). I looked into the price of a set, newly manufactured. The price was... step back... $89 per element, for a total price of $445 for one stack! I told the manufacturer I'd pass. I write this to hopefully prevent anyone from trying to make a buffer using random brass bushings, steel washers, or anything like that. John Thomas |

But back to the buffer lol I bought a parts lot and it had 2 edgewaters taken apart. I grabbed one of mine and took it apart to learn how to put it together and found out I was missing those pieces so I'm trying to find a source for original parts not thrown together as I plan in shooting these and don't want my retro rifle to get damaged! I think I would shed a few tears!! Thanks for all the info as far as spects go!! Very interesting! Funny how a new one built is $450 though! |
