Why is it that some of my magazines slide in and drop out of the mag well with ease and some are very tight. Are they that out of tolerance? Should I return them to the manufacturer for replacement? They are Cproducts,D&H & PRI

What brand of lower receiver do you have?

To me it sounds like the lower is out of spec

The lowers work with the other CP,D&H,PRI magazines I have.

Lower receivers are Mega & CMT

I have an RRA lower and can use most magazines without any issues- CPRODUCTS, Center Industries, Sanchez, Colt, PMAGS, Bushmaster. Yet, I have a single Sanchez Enterprises mag that is snug- I blame the mag body, not the lower.

I would lightly tap with a hammer. Check for fit after each single rap.

I would think the mag body is slightly out of spec. One of my mags would not drop (a well used GI) and it turned out that the catch was slightly bent out so I smacked it with a hammer to squish it back in a little bit, works good now.

I'd actually insert the mag slowly in the lower and "feel" where it is tightening/sticking. I would say the catch is probably where it's at.

Well I had to not only follow those instructions but I also had to tap them just about every other place to get them back into shape. Thanks for all the help
