I had a Lula, but somehow lost it.  I am using both Metalform and Cproducts AR15 9mm magazines.  Does this UZI loader from CDNN actually work?  It is only a couple of bucks.

If not, what is the best 9mm AR15 magazine loader out there?

Why not just use the 'bump' method?

If it's good enough for Israelis, it's good enough for me, but I'd buy another Lula first.

At $1.99, you don't have much to lose

The loader in the link is actually for the 45acp / 41AE  IMI mags...

I have the IMI loader for 9mm that came with my IMI Uzi and I have the IMI 45acp kit and mags...

The IMI 9mm loader is in the middle of the sandwiched between the bolt and the 16" barrel -

It is what I use.  Awhile back they (CDNN)  gave them to you free when you bought the magazine.  At that time I bought 50 UZI mags, so I have (or had) 50 of those little buggers laying around.  They work fine for loading the magazine, but steping on them in bare feet kinda sucks....

This is the best one out there IMHO http://maglula.tripod.com/lula.htm

Scroll down to the one for the Uzi

Big +1

I have 5 or 6 different styles of loaders for Uzi mags, and the one I go back to is the Lula.

Do you get the Lula for the UZI or Colt SMG style?  Waht is the difference?

I am running a Hahn dedicated with Metalform and Cproducts 32rd magazines.

The CDNN UZI loader will work fine with converted UZI mags. However it will not work with Colt pattern (Colt, CProducts, Metalform) mags because of the bump on the back of the mag tube for the bolt hold-open nub.

A guy at a local club I shoot at uses one similar/identical to THIS ONE and he thinks it works great.

Here's a CHEAPER ONE, but I can't say if it is any good.

Here's an EVEN CHEAPER ONE, but I can't say if it is any good either.

Just an FYI - typing "sten mag loader" into pretty much any internet search engine should yield many thousands of results.

The difference is that if you buy the Uzi one that was suggested to you, you will be pissed off and return it as it will not work at all.

These loaders lock onto the magazines they are made for by latching onto the mag catches or whatever parts lock the mags into their respective gun.  The Colt SMG LULA attaches itself to the AR-15 9mm magazine catch slot, which is in the position of a .223 AR-15 catch slot.  The Uzi LULA has a long arm that reaches way down to the Uzi location of a catch slot.  This means the Uzi one will not work with AR-15 mags, but will for Uzi mags and modified uzi mags (which have both slots).  The AR-15 9mm LULA will work with Colt, Metalform, CProducts, Promag, and modified Uzi mags.
