Anyone using one? Whats your overall opinion? Im looking at replacing my sub par light on my AK and was wondering if this Alpha is bright enough for Home / Property defense distances out to 75 yards

Check over on CPF.  There is a big long Elzetta thread over there.  But really, it should work just fine for HD type usage.  With 300 lumens, unless the beam is total junk, should work fine indoors.  In pitch black outside, I am not sure if the alpha will make it to 75yds with the TIR optic in it but I have yet to mess with one first hand to see.  TIR optics tend to produce an even beam which, in my experience, tends not to throw very well.  But you typically get good flood with them.

Well....i realized 75 yards was a little too much to expect.........looks like it shines good up to 30 yards which is good enough for me.
