I'm running an HK hook set up on my VCAS.

Presently I have an IkickHippies end plate and have yet to decide on a rail mounted device for the sling.

When working the stock, the IKH can smash a finger under stress.

Any input  on replacement or the rail mounted part?

I have never liked a sling attached to a sling plate for this reason.

Also it does not hang correctly and too high on Me ( stock butt plate near chin ) clipped to the stock plate area.

I prefer a to use a sling with QD sockets that snap into the stock and somewhere on the front 1/2 of a rail.

totally depends on you

I like mine closer to the magwell, gives better pointing for me and makes a smaller loop around the body

Yes me too. I have QD swivels on my other AR. Not totally thrilled with QD however. That covers location, what's your opinion on a attachment device?

Good point on the end plate mount also.

SBR with a SOPMOD style stock, I do have options there.

Now I'm wobbly... I used to be a decisive man...

Interesting. Their FSM also.

Many attachment points. Lets you go to single point.

Looking at ASAP also.

I could go QD on stock, I have the fastex set up for removal also.

I should have specified that I meant for a rail attachment point, but I do like their plate as well. My apologies.

Yes, I use that for my front mount.  Works well.  My only qualm is that it is noisy.  Rattles.  I guess I could wrap the loop with something to soften the contact with the sling connector.

I'm sure any HK device will be noisy.

This is what I have up front.

Interesting about the IKH plate as I just replaced a DD plate with this. I just added the DD and just trying it out in the house the damned thing bent to shit. I just put the IKH on last night.

You know, I'm gonna give it some time. Maybe I'm not being fair about the IKH. I'm sure I could work wit it. $30 is ammo or range time.
Arfcom always sez train to your gear, right?

Ill check out some front rail mounts, Magpul looks as simple and study as any.

I just installed the IKH plate mount on mine. I like that it was cheaper than other options. No moving parts to break. And I am not trying to fumble with a QD attachment that rotates. I just loved the simplicity of it. That is extra money to put towards ammo and shooting. I tried my buddies Magpul ASAP and it was too heavy, loud, and that ring slides around making it harder to clip on when you need to. Sometimes simplicity is the best avenue with guns.

To each their own. I run a single point from the QD endplate (I don't like the Magpul ASAP or IKH because they do protrude slightly further out and as such are slightly more in the way).

I use this set up for consistency with my SBR's and full length rifles. I used to run a two point with one end on the rail and the other on the non shooting side of the stock, which I found comfortable but when I transitioned from strong to weak side shooting this would pull the sling across my neck with a slight pressure. With a single point I don't have that issue. Slings are Magpul MS3.
