I have an 80% lower untouched and want to get it serialized and something engraved. My question will someone do it if it's still in the 80% platform. I was told no will touch it if it's complete so I figured I'll get all the engraving done before. Is this possible and any recommendations on where to send it?

I don't understand why no one will touch it.  Try calling Tar Heel State Firearms.

So I am confused I do not need a serial number on it to send it out for work like engraving and painting? I am new to this and I called a place and they wouldn't touch it without a serial number.

On an 80% you don't need a serial number in the majority of states, I engrave mine with a graphic but I have not put a serial number on any of them.  Some companies are anal, but like I said, it depends on where you are located and where they are located some states do require a serial number to work on them, but most don't.  I have done 11 of them now and none of them have serial numbers on them.
