I have used iDent before.  They were very good but a little slow.
Do any of our members perform this service ?
My lower has the trigger guard and FCG in it.  Don't know if I will have to remove that before engraving ?
I have enough room to engrave it under the trigger area of the lower, whatever that part is called.
Thanks !

Megaro, as far as I know, the members here that have done engraving do not have their FFL, so can only take possession of 80%'ers.

Megaro - they are going to want the TG and FCG removed. I would try Grey's - they are reasonable, and great folks when I spoke with them.

this for retro markings or for SBR markings?  if it's non retro, try grey laser.  they have fast turnaround and the reviews all seem very positive from folks that have used them.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen.  I should have been more specific in my post.
I am looking to have just the mandatory SBR engraving put on.  I did not know that
laser engraving was deep enough to fill the ATF requirements.  Interesting stuff.
I will call Greys and see what they have to say.  If not, looks like iDent is the place right now.

Megaro, this is what you want engraved?..............but with your info, not mine?  If so, yes, the guard for sure has to be removed.......with a laser the trigger perhaps not, but if cutter engraved then probably yes. No problem removing the trigger, but darn, I hate messing with the t-guard roll pin..........but you already know that.

Stoner25mkiv, yes that is exactly what I had in mind.  It is a nice lower and I do not want to place any more conspicuous markings on it.
Like you, I am always okay with pulling the FCG.  But when it comes to that trigger guard .... well, I get a little funny.  I haven't had an
accident yet, but that is just because I have been lucky.

if you do have to get the trigger guard out of the way, wouldn't popping the front loose and opening it up work?  does that give them enough room without having to drive out the roll pin?

if you do need to drive out the roll pin, i bought this tool and it works great:

BW, I'm guessing that Megaro would have to do more than just flip the TG up. It would probably be in the way of the "spindle" of the laser. (spindle being the equivelent of  a spindle on a milling machine) I know I had a tough time just getting the very small cutter to clear on the milling machine I used, and that was without a trigger guard on at all.
