Just got 2 new 512 w/ mounts for A2's(foregrip) even w/ the eotech mounts my irons sit low and are hard to see. Does this site take some getting used to? I know their reputation that's why I got them. It just seems like alot to process visually w/ the reticle and dot at first. Live and learn.

If you are used to irons and use them properly the red dot sights can take some getting used to. It took me a while to realize I need to focus on the target and not try and focus on the reticle/dot... I look over the irons and use both eyes and see the dot/reticle as an overlay on the target... it took a little while but thats what worked for me. YMMV.

BTW I love it now... Still like to use the irons now and again though...

I never could get used to the EOTechs reticle. That’s why I switched to Aimpoint. The EOTech’s reticle was too much for my eyes to process.

At first I ran the EOTech with CCH BUIS and thought it might be the fact that the BUIS, FSP and EOTech were all in my FOV. With that in mind I switched to a folding rear BUIS.

Eliminating the CCH in the FOV did help some, but it still just didn’t sit right with me. After I made the entire switch to Aimpoint I’m a happy camper. The single dot is much easier on my eyes.
