Does anyone know where you can get a price on an EoTech Magnifier?  Also, has anyone got one- how do you like it?

EoTech's magnifier has not been released.  And from what I have heard it only will work with the 553 model.

But you can get an Aimpoint Magnifier, for use with the EoTech.

From Eotech:

Thanks for your message. We are currently working on a 3.75X system. I do not have many details but I can tell you it will sell as a system which will include the sight and magnifier together. Our goal is to launch this around the end of Summer with a price tag of roughly $700-800. The magnifier will offer a quick detach feature allowing you to instantly go to close quarter situations. As I said, I do not have much information right now, but feel free to contact me in May or June and I should have more precise info.

Thanks for the interest,

John Bailey

It appears that the price includes the magnifier and sight, but that is open to interpretation.

I think this is SMG Lee's pic of a prototype:

I wonder why they would not sell the magnifier seperately for those already owning eotechs,,,

So they can give everyone a reason to upgrade...

EOTech is working on a solution for magnification.  All the photos and comments posted on this forum have been based on early prototype designs for EOTech's magnifier.  I can assure you that feedback has been taken based on the prototype designs and changes are being made.  Nothing has been publicly released regarding the new designs.  Please be patient.  EOTech is working on a new product.  I can't say when it will be available, but it is a priority at EOTech.

I'm guessing you work in Ann Arbor?

Keep up the good work. I like my Eotech.

Sounds good!  Make sure LaRue levers are used, if not at least make it so that the enduser can easily install a LaRue mount.

I talked to Eotech thru email and they said it'll be available for all current models.

Very interesting.  This is a shift from their initial announcement and artist renditions.

The earlier version was integrated with the EoTech unit and butted up right behind it, sealing it from outside light.  In so doing it covered up the controls so they engineered an electrical contact interface that allowed the controls to be housed in the magnifier body and accessed from the side if I'm not mistaken.  There's no way this setup would work with existing 51X/55X models so something has definitely changed.
