I just mounted and sighted in my Eotech XPS-2 and I am thoroughly impressed with it so far.  Just have a question about the MOA clicks on the right and left and up and down adjustments.  My right and left has a noticeable click that you can easily feel when adjusting but the up and down adjustment is much more subtle and hard to tell how many clicks you have moved it.  Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or if there is maybe something wrong with it?  However, it sighted in fine and is dead on, so this is only a minor complaint.

Weak or non existent adjustment clicks seem to be an ongoing problem with these sights.  Send it back to L3.  They will fix it.

This appears to be the most common issue with XPS and EXPS sights.  I'd contact EOTech, they'll fix you up.

Have you tried running it back and forth a little to see if it gets any more defined?

I have not tried running it back and forth, but I hate to move it being i spent the time to get it zeroed in.  I mean is it worth getting it fixed you all think?

Yes IMO.

If you run it back and forth five clicks one way, five click back (or whatever) a few times, your zero should remain the same.  Just pay attention to where you start.

Just checked mine ( two weeks old and never used), the up and down has a distinctive click and the  right to left nothing. Move the r-l several times with no change. Will be contacting L3 and sending it back. I just checked the L3 site and I have to pay shipping!

This is so common with the XPS series I would call it the norm.  The clicks are there for reference and have no effect on it holding zero.

Yes, it is alarmingly common.  A consumer shouldn't have to put up with products that are broken right out of the box.  What proof do you have that the absence of the tactile click has no affect on the sights ability to maintain zero?

We have been selling them since they were introduced. That is the way they work so I don't consider it broken. EOTech tech support will tell you the same thing but yes they will tighten it up if you want. Not saying it is a good thing but that is the the way it is and my experience is they hold zero. I will bring it up to the factory people at SHOT in a few weeks, when I meet with them, and report back.

Thanks for all of the input, I greatly appreciate it!  I will be interested to hear the report.  If you sell them that way and they hold zero I can go with that for a bit.  Mine is dead on currently and holding fine!  Thanks again and look forward the feedback from eotech!

Well, I called today. Answer: Clicking or not clicking not a big deal to EOTech. The detent spring and ball just not hitting that hard, if sent back they will drill out and fix. They are backed up because they have been shut down for two weeks, so it may take longer to get sight back.

That is excellent customer service.  I can see no reason not to purchase an eotech sight.
