| How high above the rail is the EoTech aperture? I'm considering one for my shotgun, but I'm worried that the aperture might be a bit too high with the buttons and housing below along the rail. |
An EOTech on a Shotgun is one of the best setups out there IMHO. I almost think that the EOTech was designed for the Shotgun! C4 |

I mount a 511 to both of my shotguns. one is a Remington 870 and the other is my Benelli S90. the fast action reticle is superb for close in work so with the range of the shotgun, it is probably the best choice like Grant said. As far as how tall is the aperture, the EOTech reticle will sit a bit higher then like said an Aimpoint on a low mount, but the cheek weld is not that much taller. It actually gives you a good heads up shooting stance that is more conducive to CQB. |
| SMGLee hit it right on the head about the heads up stance. I just mounted my 512 to a new SOCOM16 (no, nothings gone tits up yet lol) and once I got used to using my chin as a weld reference point I realized that I prefer the "heads up" that the EO reticle forces me to use. |
