EoTech from Sportsmans Guide > Optics, Mounts, and Sights

I just received one of the EoTechs from Sportsmans Guide and thought I would pass on some info for anyone else who wanted to know. First off I was shipped a 511 and not the 551 in the picture. I thought that would be the case (typical SG) and was right. I am a buyers club member so I paid $269 which is fair. Shipping was $20 but I was able to find a $20 of any order more than $249 coupon on line so the total cost was $269.96 shipped to my door. For those interested it is a 511.A65 Rev F dated Dec 07 2005 on the box.

Is the one they actually ship NV compatible and "N" battery powered?

The 511 isn't NV compatible. If you want/need one that'll work with NV, you'll need to pony up the extra cash for a 551 or 552.

No its not NV, yes it takes N batts.

Something weird going on there.

As I said in my post above, I went to the site last Saturday, and a search for "Eotech" came up blank.
When I clicked on the link above, it brought up the SG page, but it said "Sold Out" where the price should be.

The next day, Sunday, the same link showed a price, and I ordered one.
I have a confirmation number for UPS.

It's almost like they are only getting one or two at a time.

Got mine yesterday.
Commercial box, Rev. F, Dec. 7 "born on" date.
Very pleased at that price.

Looks good on my flattop, and makes more room for my YHM/Bushmaster BUIS.
(Yes, it mounts level.)

I think it's really neat that these have a "Pearl Harbor Commemorative" manufacture date.

Anyway, if you get one of these you won't be disappointed.

Just an FYI.. I ordered this when it said it was 'In Stock' and just now received a backorder notice. Great...

The worst news yet.. the backorder date is 3/26/06 now. It also shows sold out, and you cannot find it by a direct search of 'eotech'. I should've known.. Mark
