Why isn't this particular sight more popular? I don't see many pictures of them on ARs, and they can be had for as little as $360 new. Aren't these just product-improved 551s that use CR123 batteries?

Is there anything wrong with this particular model, or is it just not "tacticool" enough for people?

Same size as 512 but 7mm higher for 1/3 cowitness, uses CR123 batteries, NOT a product-improved 551.

It's a great optic for the money, but Aimpoint rules this site.  The 516 will be my next optic.

+1 and Eotechs don't need $100 LaRue mounts, either...

I've purchased 2 Eotech 516's.  They are decent sights for the price and I like them for close in work.  My goto guns all have Aimpoints on them nevertheless.
